Released quarterly as a printed magazine, Alquimie is a written emulsion of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Covering wine, beer, spirits, bitters, coffees and other solutions of interest; Alquimie explores the liquids themselves — their origins and stories. ThoughtAssembly was involved from the inception of the publication — from naming, through to the identity design, publication design and art direction of the imagery.
To assist with advertising, distribution and partnerships, an introduction document was developed. Printed uniquely using eight hits of white ink onto black stock, the cover is then bound using a traditional hand-sewn technique. This attention to detail was designed to reflect the approach and quality of the final publication.
